STEP 3- dream

I have been a dreamer for as long as I can remember. No. I don’t mean the one you have when you sleep. I’m talking about the one you dream with your eyes open. The kind that excites you, makes you wanna do big things, the kind that motivates you.

As a child, I dreamed of so many things, some really crazy, others okay. One which I vividly remember was the dream of being the founder of big global businesses that were household names in different countries.

Children dream big.

I think it’s part of their genetic fiber — their overall make-up if you will. They never think small because they aren’t hindered by the standard limitations that hold adults back. Ask my eight-year-old brother what he wants to be and the response will go like: an astronaut, a pilot, doctor, pastor, engineer etc. The boy believes he can be anything.

While it’s easy to dismiss a child’s dreams as being silly or unrealistic, Who’s to say any of our dreams are silly or unrealistic? Just because something goes against the grain, or runs in the opposite direction of societal norms, it doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

I’m pretty sure we all had one dream or the other while growing up. But along the line, our dreams get stifled by challenges, life, the unbelief of others, delayed expectations, failure etc.

What has stifled your dream?  I am asking you to dream again.

Dreams are important. Without dreams, there will be no ambition to chase. There will be no goal to reach. And no one is ever too old to dream up a new life and begin pursuing it.

To dream is to create the life you want, first in your imaginations.

To dream is to make a beautiful art of your life.

To dream is to awaken and give meaning to your life.

Dream again.

With the  step 1 and of this series in mind, ask yourself;

What did I dream of becoming?

After evaluating my current situation, What is the future or expected reality for me?

Dream big.

The starting point of great success and achievement has always been the same.

It is for you to, “dream big dreams.”  There is nothing more important, and nothing that works faster than for you to cast off your own limitations, look beyond your current situation and begin dreaming and fantasizing about the wonderful things that you can become and have and do.

A wise man once said, ” You must dream big dreams for only big dreams have the power to move the minds of men.”  When you begin to dream big dreams, your level of self-esteem and self-confidence will increase immediately.  Your self-image improves.  You feel more positively about yourself and your ability to deal with whatever happens to you.

The reason so many people accomplish so little is that they never allow themselves to let go and just imagine the kind of life that is possible for them.

Are you ready to create the life you want: Dream again.
